"Drawing inspiration from Spaghetti Western scores and retro-exploitation films like Big Bird Cage, this cinematic collection of sample studded tracks evokes a paradoxical sense of familiarity and other-worldliness.

Setting the tone with it’s soaring Morricone themed intro, whiskey&bone runs a maverick path between the back room ambiance and shimmering desert ephemera of its conception and the savvy, up to the minute bass music underpinnings of its execution – carving an unorthodox route to the dance floor on ‘trail of dust and smoke’, taking in oddly appropriate southern rap drawl on ‘canyons’, and rolling out sweetly with the epic 4/4 house burner ‘afraid no more’.
